OK, I couldn't resist. . .

Here's another pic of my adorable niece with her proud Dad :) Don't know if she's yawning, singing or voicing her displeasure at constantly having her picture taken. Anyhoo, it's an adorable shot.

I'm going running this afternoon. It seems like ages since I have. Some months ago, I volunteered (like a dummy) to edit/revise our church's constitution & bylaws. Two committees had done the hardest part, but they disbanded. I did some tweaking & editing on what was already done. It's finally finished & submitted to the elders who are going to submit it to our church body tonight--while I'm out running (yeah, convenient).

Also, I am praying about a career change. I would like to teach K-2nd grade aged children, but I can qualify to teach middle school without having to get another degree. Also, I wouldn't mind teaching remedial courses, either. There are all kinds of obstacles I can think of: money to return to school, starting ANOTHER career so "late" in life, what if I do what it takes, become a teacher & decide I HATE it. I'd like the work I do to be meaningful. I used to do some tutoring and it was wonderful seeing a student have "Aha!" moments. But, is it a PASSION??? Aye, that's the rub. . . .

No more musings--back to work. Happy Training Everyone (Wow, can you believe 12 miles on Saturday???)!!

Oh my, how adorable! She is probably tired of the papparazi taking her pic constantly. Dad looks so proud!
I have the same thoughts about teaching, and the same worries. sometimes it's just a leap of faith, you know?

Kim, it's never to late to do something that you have a desire to do. I worked in accounting for over 15 years before deciding to go back to school and pursue an advanced degree in Accounting. I now teach accounting and love it. If you are sure that teaching is what you want to do, call the Dept of Education and look at the alternate route method. We need good teachers and there is a big demand.

Life is short and excuses abound. I know there are many obstacles when you go out for a run, but you do it anyway because that's how you'll get to the finish line. It's a journey...I pray that you will get a strong sense of your direction.
You can do it!
