Some time ago, Matt had blogged about having a game plan for life (or something to that effect). Some of us reminded that it's OK to plan, but sometimes, God has other plans and HE is in control.
As it turns out, I will not be going to Chicago. Instead, I will be caring for our infant daughter! :) It's so amazing that she's coming into our lives, only days away from the Chicago Marathon. We are so very happy to be given the opportunity to become parents. We've prayed for years and it's FINALLY coming to pass! Still, a part of me is sad that I'm not going to be with you guys.
I've been nesting like crazy; Will has been laughing at me. This is our last night as a family of two! Thanks so much for your prayers and well wishes. It means a lot to us. :)

I must say... YOURS wins the prize for the HAPPIEST "I can't go to the Marahon with your guys story!"
So many of us have come and gone along the way. So many have sad and unhappy reasons that they are unable to join the group. It is SO great, wonderful, and awesome (YOU Said it Girl... GOD!) that ther is such a super mahhhvelous reason to miss the marathon!... You will be missed... but I look forward to seeing you and your "mini-marathoner" at the MS Blues!
Love,
Lisa
Ditto what Lisa said! You do win the best story for why you can't go to Chicago. I am just so excited for you and Will! It has been so fun to run with you and get to know you. You were always an inspiration to me as we used to run together and then you started soaring past me. Enjoy your new family Kim! See you at the MS Blues!
Kim, that is soooo awesome! Congratulations! We'll miss you in Chicago but what better reason to stay home. Soak her up like a sponge!! :-)
I'm really happy for you! I guess you were just training to get in shape for motherhood (hee/hee!).
Just remember Phil. 4:6 (living Bible)"Don't worry about anything and pray about everything. Also, don't forget to thank HIM for your answered prayers....."
You certainly have a lot to be thankful for!! (just remember that when they are teenagers!!)

There is no adventure or experience that can touch the magnitude of motherhood...ENJOY!
